My ancestors, and yours, worked hard to get this world to a place where we are safe, warm and well fed. They loved us.
We have more abundance now then at any time in humanities existence.
THis does not mean that I give myself permission to gorge myself or hurt my body with food.
I indulge myself to honor the brilliant food at my finger tips. I cook and eat glorious meals so that I can do what my ancestors wish they could do.
I buy healthy and local and clean food and build flavors.
I fill my sole with brown rice, clean water and fermented delights.
I allow myself to taste the brilliant craziness of pizza or burgers.
I breath and fast and take breaks from the addictive and overpowering magic of the food we have created.
I allow myself to feel hungry and get to know the spirit of hunger.
I move my body, I stretch my body, I relax my body.
I work with my body.
I let the house get cold so I can be in winter but I crank the heat on occasion to warm the bones.
I work hard at finding a balance in my body.
I will not be without a roll or two around the waist, but I will not let my indulgences overpower me and hinder my life.
My job is to run this body at top optimization for as long as I can with minimal resources needed to keep it running, while still being present and enjoying the abundance in front of me.
I give myself permission to be exactly who I am.
I believe that is the best way to honor my ancestors.
I give myself permission to be exactly who I am.
I believe that is the best way to honor myself.
It can get better....
We can find better ways to nourish and feed ourselves.
We can practice sustainable living, feeding ourselves from our own community.
We can live in abundance and health at the same time.
I am perfect, but I give myself permission to get better.
That is the best way I can think of honoring our decendants
Loving where we are but building a future that is better for our children's children.
I think that is the best way to honor myself.
