These habits are above the normal, eat healthy, exercise and play. They are specific and unique. Strange as it might seem, sometimes the most obscure skill, well practiced, can lead to a healthier lifestyle.
- Breaking Habits is a Good Habit - Health is a dance. I have seen the gifts in letting go of knowing and being in our heart. Going with the flow, moving to the rhythm of our inner calls, dancing to the beat of the universes drum. If we stick to one thing, one action, one activity, eventually it will lead us to unbalance. Too much of a skill, tool or habit is a health risk. We are creatures of diversity, we need diversity. Not too much diversity, but just enough.
- Change is a Skill---- Change is not something that comes naturally, which i find interesting as we are always changing. Change takes practice. We attach comfort onto predictability. WE attach safety on predictability We get seduced by comfort and convenience. Change is a practice. Something we are encouraged by the universe everyday. Change is like the cardio system, we need to use it or we loose it, and quickly. We need to chalenge it and regularly.
- Feet are our Friends ---- Healthy people care for their feet. They massage them, keep them in good foot wear, they moisturize them, they clean them. Your feet do so much for our mouvement and as for so little in return. When one takes time to honor their feet they are most likely honoring other parts of their body as well.
- Dance Like no one is Watching --- Dance people. Dance everyday. A little shuffle in the office, a hip wag in the car. Hear a song you like, dance. See others dancing, join in. Spontaneous dance is one of the most forgotten medicines I have seen. Our fear of dancing is most likely related to our fear of many things. When we dance we release fear, release endorphins, release stress, release inhibition.
- Listen Like you Know Nothing ---- I have no idea what i am talking about most of the time. My goal in my sharing is to stimulate conversation. To get people talking. To get people sharing. The collective knowledge outweighs anything I will every know. Looking for experts or gurus or teachers misses the fact that their are all of those in your community, in yourself. Share people, talk, ask questions, open up, listen to others, gather information, learn from those around you.
