The etymology of the word revenge is close to "To re-enact so well that no doubt of facts remain". It is a Greek or shamanic ancestral practice to act out how someone hurt you so that they can see and understand for themselves. The practice is designed to help the healing process and to help the hurter understand their behavior.
It is a civilized practice. Done with respect and honor. It a healing and complete project.
"You changed me so I am going to change you."
No one trying to hurt another worse. it is not a competition (in fact I believe nothing very good comes out of competitiveness).
It is a sharing.
It can also go in the direction of "You inspired me so I will inspire you".
So I will practice revenge. Be honest and clear and sharing of my experience.
You see I do not believe that this world is here for me. It is here for everyone. That way I try to make decisions, even about my personal life, based on what would be good for the whole.
And I think we all can benefit from a curiosity into the affects of our actions. Learn from others, let them mirror us.
